Bacillus sp. being industrially important organisms produces a wide variety of extra-cellular enzymes including proteases. Bacillus sp. isolated from local marine samples collected from Saudi Arabia for produced protease enzyme. The aim of this work was to evaluate protease production by different bacterial isolated from marine. Six bacterial isolates were screened for protease production. Two protease producing isolates, No.2 and No.3 were selected on the basis of gelatin hydrolyses. When the extracellular protease were examined using fermentation production medium, the date recorded the highest extracellular protease enzyme reached to (243 U/ml) by isolate No. 2. Finally the selected isolate was identify according to the morphological characteristics and named Bacillus sp No.2 EHN.

Isolation and Characterization of Thermophilic Alkaline Proteases Resistant to Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate and Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid from Bacillus sp. GUS1
Thermophilic Bacillus sp. GUS1, isolated from a soil sample obtained from citrus garden, produced at least three proteases as detected by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and zymogram analysis. The enzymes were stable in the alkaline pH range (8.0-12.0), with the optimum temperature and pH range of the proteases being 70ºC and 6.0-12.0, respectively. All th...
متن کاملScreening and Isolation of Extracellular Protease Producing Bacteria from the Maharloo Salt Lake
Screening and identification of moderately halophilic protease producing bacteria from different regions of Maharloo, a hypersaline lake in the southern area of Iran, were the objectives of this study. In the preliminary screening, 16 isolates exhibited proteolytic activity on saline skim milk agar. All isolates were able to grow comfortably in the media containing 7-15% of salt. Protease...
متن کاملScreening of Alginate Lyase-Producing Bacteria and Optimization of Media Compositions for Extracellular Alginate Lyase Production
Background: Alginate is a linear polysaccharide consisting of guluronate (polyG) and mannuronate (polyM) subunits. Methods: In the initial screening of alginate-degrading bacteria from soil, 10 isolates were able to grow on minimal medium containing alginate. The optimization of cell growth and alginate lyase (algL) production was carried out by the addition of 0.8% alginate and 0.2-0.3 M NaCl ...

متن کاملIsolation and Partial Characterization of a Bacterial Thermostable Polymethyl Galacturonase from a Newly Isolated Bacillus sp. strain BR1390
Background: Pectinases are pectin degrading class of enzymes including polygalacturonase (PG), polymethyl galacturonase (PMG), pectate lyase (PEL), and pectin esterase (PE) that are commonly used in processes involving the degradation of plant materials, such as speeding up the extraction of fruit juices. Objectives: A highly methylated pectin degrading bacterium from soil covered with fruit wa...
